Jason Emery

Director of Conservation Land Management

Jason brings over two decades of experience as an Environmental Scientist, specializing in wildlife and ecosystem management and ecological restoration in western Canada. Jason has worked with the Canadian Wildlife Service, addressing species at risk issues and conservation, has been a private consultant and spent over a decade consulting with large environmental firms, working on municipal projects and large projects within the oil and gas and mining sectors in BC.  He has been an instructor in the Ecological Restoration Program at the BC Institute of Technology for nearly ten years.

Jason has a Master of Science in Environment & Management from Royal Roads University in Victoria in addition to an applied science diploma in Fish and Wildlife Management from the BC Institute of Technology.

Outside of the office, Jason is passionate about all things outdoors and the natural environment. He is an avid hunter, fisherman and mountain biker, and is always excited to explore new corners of British Columbia.

Jason joined The Nature Trust in 2019.
