Ayla King

Restoration and Monitoring Technician

Ayla’s love and passion for the outdoors started young, growing up she spent her time in the bush in Northwestern Ontario fishing and exploring. This appreciation for the outdoors is what influenced her to pursue a degree in Geography and Environmental studies from the University of Victoria in 2018. Captivated by the Island’s rugged coastline and rich biodiversity, Ayla chose to make it her home. Ayla now lives in Nanaimo, where she continues to enjoy hiking and surfing in her spare time. In 2025, she joined The Nature Trust of British Columbia, bringing a lifelong appreciation for the land and water to her conservation work.
