Kootenay Conservation Land Coordinator

Joe Strong has over 10 years’ experience working in the environmental sector. He has a passion for wildlife and fisheries, and has spent time working with both the Ontario and British Columbia provincial government fish and wildlife branches. Joe has worked in the Kootenay region for over 10 years, and has a true appreciation for the conservation values and opportunities in the area. He has worked for TNTBC in the Kootenay region from 2009-2014 as a conservation crew member, and a crew supervisor. He brings a strong fisheries/aquatic habitat background to TNTBC, and is excited to be back as part of the team with The Nature Trust.

Joe has a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from the University of Northern British Columbia, along with an Honours Diploma in Recreation, Fish and Wildlife from Selkirk College.

Joe became the Kootenay Conservation Land Coordinator in April 2018.
