Project Description

As a crew member, you will be working with the West Coast Conservation Land Management Program in partnership with Ducks Unlimited Canada, Province of British Columbia, Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation and Environment Canada.  You will be assisting with a variety of restoration, habitat enhancement, and operational projects within conservation areas throughout Vancouver Island. Based out of the Nanaimo office for the  Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resources Operations and Rural Development (2080 Labieux Road), you will be traveling daily as part of an integral team responsible for the implementation of an extremely wide variety of projects and maintenance activities. You will have the opportunity to engage with program partners, stakeholders, volunteers, and the general public on several different properties from Cowichan Valley to Port Hardy and Tofino. This position is a great place to gain experience in conservation land management with an organization that has a strong reputation for conserving diverse wildlife habitat across the province and among various agencies.
