The Nature Trust of British Columbia is a leading land conservation organization based in British Columbia. We are a non-profit, non-advocacy group that seeks a balance between sustaining our environment and sustaining our economy. We acquire ecologically significant land through purchase, donation, covenant and lease. We manage this land in order to protect the natural diversity of wildlife and plants, and their critical and important habitats. Our Conservation Youth Crews operate in the spring and summer months to carry out a variety of land management activities.
The Lower Mainland Conservation Youth Crew seeks member(s) to assist in maintaining and monitoring our 20 properties in the Lower Mainland located between Hope and Squamish and the Sunshine Coast. As a crew member, you will accompany the crew supervisor daily to assess, inventory, and carry out restoration and monitoring activities across all Lower Mainland properties, depending on specific property requirements. There will be opportunities to engage with volunteers, participate in educational stewardship events, pursue research projects that contribute to the stewardship of the land, and promote the cause of the Nature Trust of British Columbia. This position is a great place to gain experience in conservation land management with an organization that has a strong reputation for conserving diverse wildlife habitats across supernatural British Columbia.
