Your gift will have an impact.

Why Leave a Legacy to The Nature Trust of BC?

The Nature Trust of BC is a champion of sustaining nature in British Columbia. We have developed an exceptional level of conservation knowledge and expertise over the past four decades. We have a long record of  conservation accomplishments and of strong fiscal responsibility and management. And most importantly, all our funding stays right here in BC to support the work we do in this place we call home.

Your legacy gift will have a positive impact

From the tree-covered coast and dry interior grasslands to rushing rivers and lush wetlands, British Columbia provides a wealth of habitat supporting a spectacular array of living things.

How Your Gift Will Help

Your legacy gift will help us to continue to acquire and save British Columbia’s critical habitat on private land and to protect species at risk.

Your gift will also help us continue to care for this land in order to protect the natural diversity of wildlife, fish and plants – on the Englishman River on Vancouver Island; on the Adams River, renowned for its salmon run; in the Antelope-brush Conservation Area in the Okanagan and in the Hoodoos in the East Kootenay. These are some of the 180,000 acres (73,000 hectares) The Nature Trust of BC and our partners have acquired, protected and cared for since 1971.

Tax advantages

Creating a bequest in your will to The Nature Trust of BC is a long-term investment in our mission. It will also result in a tax receipt to your estate that can be used to offset 100% of the net income on your final tax return with excess amounts applied to taxes from the previous year.
