Jason Cook

A native of Vancouver, Jason Cook holds an undergraduate degree from the UBC Music Faculty with a major in voice performance and is a graduate of the RCM piano performance program.  He was also a member and mentor throughout his 15-year involvement with the internationally renowned BC Boys Choir. With his roots in traditional choral performance and musical theatre, the marriage of these two styles has led Jason to the operatic stage.  He was recognized as a “lovely lyric baritone” in the Georgia Straight.

 

Jason recently appeared as Prince Charming and the Wolf in Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods with Fighting Chance Productions. Some other notable operatic roles include: Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Marcello (La bohème), and most recently Danilo in The Merry Widow. He is also a busy teacher and owner of his own studio, and brings more than a decade of experience instructing students of all ages in voice, piano and musicianship.​

 

Alexandra Hill

Alexandra Hill has a Bachelor and Master degree in music from McGill University. She is a member of L.A.’s Opera Works alumni and active member of Vancouver’s Postmodern Camerata. Her roles include the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas) and Valencienne (The Merry Widow). She currently lives in Vancouver where she studies with renowned Canadian soprano Heidi Klassen.

Recent engagements include the Mozart Requiem, Bach’s Johannes Passion, and Jauchzet Gott (BWV 51) with the Postmodern Camerata, Mendelssohn’s Elijah opposite Gary Relyea, Hayden’s The Seasons and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Cowichan Consort.

Annabelle Paetsch

Pianist Annabelle Paetsch is a versatile, accomplished and creative musician and teacher who brings a breadth and depth of musical experience to all her work.  While living and working in three Canadian provinces as well as Austria, she has performed numerous concerts and collaborated with symphony orchestras, choirs, singers and instrumentalists of all ages.

 

She has recorded two solo CDs and worked as a musical extra in the film industry.  She is a regular performer at the Silk Purse Arts Centre in West Vancouver.

Both her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in music are from Western University. She holds a Diploma in piano performance from the Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt, Austria.  Currently she is Director of Music at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church in West Vancouver and accompanist for the Pacific Spirit Choir while maintaining a studio.​

 

Daniel Reynolds

Daniel was born and raised in Vancouver and took an interest in jazz music from an early age.  He studied piano at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, graduating with a Bachelor of Music in jazz performance.Daniel has been living in Vancouver where he is busy teaching, performing and writing music.  He recently completed a cross-Canada tour with Calgary-based singer Ellen Doty and has been collaborating with Montreal-based trumpeter Simon Millerd.  He is continuing to pursue an interest in composition and working on recording some of his original music.
