Antelope-brush Conservation Area

Good news! Thanks to many supporters, The Nature Trust of BC completed its fundraising campaign for the last piece of the Antelope-brush Conservation Area.

We are now turning our efforts to raising funds for the management of this important property.

Protecting critical habitat is urgent, especially in the South Okanagan.

  • Antelope_Brush_Lots_MapAntelope-brush is  one of four most endangered ecosystems in Canada
  • This habitat is disappearing at a faster rate than the world’s tropical rain forests
  • The South Okanagan has one of the highest concentrations of species at risk such as the Behr’s Hairstreak butterfly
  • This property has connectivity to other conservation areas; providing greater opportunity for species to adjust to climate change
